Dental Implant TREATMENT PROCESS

Embarking on the journey to a dental implant involves careful planning and multiple appointments to ensure a perfect fit into the gum. This process, though taking several months, is a meticulous surgical procedure. It’s crucial for patients to be in good health and recognise that it’s not a quick visit to the dentist.

Your implant appointment, varying in duration depending on complexity, demands a few hours of your time. Several appointments are necessary, with dental anaesthetic ensuring your comfort throughout. Dr. Vora dedicates extensive time to plan each patient’s implant meticulously, employing sophisticated technology and the finest materials to ensure optimal results. Your well-being and satisfaction are our top priorities throughout this process.

STEP BY STEP

Consultation

Your first appointment will involve planning for the implant by your dentist taking x-rays and various measurements to ensure the implant fits in perfectly in your gum.

It is at this stage that your dentist can determine whether you have healthy bones around this area. This is your opportunity to ask lots of questions!

Placement

Dental implants are implanted in the jaw which will be done via medical anaesthetic. This will be done by your dentist cutting into your gum and drilling a small hole into your jawbone. Stitches may be used to close your gum, but not everyone needs them.

Once you have your implant, your dentist will explain how to look after it to ensure that it stays clean and healthy.

Aftercare

Once fitted, the area is left to heal. You will have a follow up appointment in a couple of weeks where Dr Vora will check to see if your implant has been successful and healed.
